The « Espace Asia » in Toulouse (South-West of France)

proposes an exhibition of the Severine Dabadie’s photographs in the gallery situated 5, rue Croix Baragnon in Toulouse. You can see the forty-five photographs in colors    from the 7 th June up to the 29th July 2006. Entitled « Un jour à Kashi », this selection of 45 photographs portrays a day in Kashi. Kashi is the original name of Banaras, these which emphasizes the sacred character of the city. It is also the name which its inhabitants enjoy to speak about their city that we know also with it’s administrative name: Varanasi.

It describes what one can daily see there since the most ancient times. From a misty early morning until the peaceful night on the banks of River Ganges, all details of  the everyday life made with mysticism and meditation, explosion of life and colours. Life in all its states on banks of the sacred river, in the temples, the shaded lanes: an invitation for the travel.
